New York - United States of America

New York, New York.

So great they named it twice, Since the late 1800's New York has welcomed immigrants to its shores making it the most culturally diverse city in America (if not the world). Some reports state that over 800 languages are spoken in New York, indeed almost half of New Yorkers speak a second language at home, so if its cultural diversity you are after New York will not disappoint. With the largest Chinese population outside of Asia and over 100 million Chinese cartons used each year you will not be disappointed with your Chinese take-away either.

Being such a large populated modern city, New York offers the modern day city breaker everything one could desire, from street food to world renowned restaurants, markets to modern shopping malls and great evening entertainment with all the latest shows on Broadway or an underground club downtown. New York really does have it all, and then some.

September and October are the best months to visit the city from the UK, after the schools have gone back and there is a drop in visitors flights to New York are relatively cheap, as are the hotel rooms adding to that the fact that the weather is still relatively mild it has to be the perfect time to travel.

One last fact worth mentioning, women may go topless in public, providing it is not being used as a business so if it's a sunny afternoon in Central Park feel free to go for that all over tan.
